    EPD - Ceramic toilet set

    The EPD contains the result for 1 specific Toilet pack produced by Ideal Standard. The EPD is representative for the production of ceramic bowls and cisterns in Sevlievo (Bulgaria), Armitage (United Kingdom) and Teplice (Czech Republique), and production of the tank trim in Angouleme (France). Note that the results have been separated for the ceramic part and the tank trim, so the user can easily calculate the results of the Toilet pack in which the bowl and cistern have another weight. The formula is described further in the document. Foreground data has been provided directly by Ideal Standard and background LCA data is based on Ecoinvent 3.8 and Industry 2.0 data.

    The EPD contains the result of 1 kg of ceramic Fine fire clay product produced by Ideal Standard. It is representative for the following ceramic products categories: bathroom basin ceramic, bidet, pedestal/semi-pedestal and washstand basin ceramic) manufactured in Armitage (United Kingdom) and Teplice (Czech Republique). As the result is for 1kg of ceramic, the user can easily calculate the results for ceramic products, noted above according to the weight.

    EPD - Ceramic Vitreous China

    The EPD contains the result of 1 kg of ceramic vitreous china product produced by Ideal Standard. It is representative for those ceramic products categories: bowls (mounted and floor standing), urinals, bidets, washbasins and pedestals, manufactured in Sevlievo (Bulgaria), Armitage (United Kingdom) and Teplice (Czech Republique). As the result is for 1kg of ceramic, the user can easily calculate the results for ceramic products, noted above according to the weight. The factory in Egypt is not included in the scope of the EPD.

    EPD- Ceramic Cistern

    The EPD contains the result for 1 piece of cistern produced by IS. As the cistern can be produced in 3 different ceramic plants, respectively: Sevlievo (Bulgaria), Armitage (United Kingdom) and Teplice (Czech Republic), the LCA results are based on the weighted average data. In the LCA report, a variability study between the average and the three specific plants has been included. Note that the results have been separated for the ceramic part and the tank trim, so the user can easily calculate the results for a cistern with a different weight. The formula is described further in this document.

    EPD - Dual control and thermostatic fittings

    The EPD covers a range of Dual control and thermostatic fittings, produced by Ideal Standard in two production plants, respectively in Bulgaria and Germany. The EPD includes the result of 1 kg of a representative product. The representative product is a product produced in Bulgaria and has an absolute weight that is closest to the average weight of all fittings. Note that in the EPD the LCI and LCA are converted to 1 kg of fitting. The representativeness of the selected product and an estimation of the variability has been calculated in the LCA background report.
